Plastic PollutionThere are over 250,000 metric tons of plastic in the oceans. That's the same amount as sticking soda bottles on top of each other all the way to the moon and back, twice. All of this plastic floating around kills, injures, or entangles over 100,000 marine animals every year, including endangered sea turtles, birds, dolphins, and many other species. It’s time for us to take action. It’s time for us to use less plastic.

Climate ChangeClimate change describes a broad range of global events - such as global warming, rising sea levels, and accelerating ice melt in the polar regions - as a result of human activities. The evidence for climate change is unequivocal, ranging from temperature rises, rising sea levels, sea ice melting, and ocean acidification. This is an issue we need to care about and there are many things you can do personally to make a difference.

Ocean AcidificationOcean acidification is an issue that is sometimes left off the table in the climate change debate, but it is becoming a growing global problem that could affect marine ecosystems and all of us. It is caused by an increasing amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the earth's atmosphere due to human activities, and results in organisms such as coral and shellfish having more difficulty developing and reproducing.
